Skunk Control Salt Lake City and Park City

Skunk Control Salt Lake

There are two types of skunks in Utah making the need for skunk control: the striped skunk and the spotted skunk. Both are native to Utah and found in Salt Lake City. Skunks are highly adaptive and often live close to humans. They feed on insects, plants, and rodents. Skunks will scavenge pet food left outdoors and rummage through garbage looking for food. They can carry many different types of diseases such as rabies and tularemia, and carry parasites including lice, fleas, ticks, and tapeworms. This is why it is so important to address your skunk pest control problems as soon as possible. Besides their strong, terrible, and long-lasting smell, they can have an aggressive personality. They can also spray a distance of up to 20 feet, so it is important that you keep as much distance as you can.

Spotted Skunk being released back into the wild

A client found this spotted skunk nestled in their heater vent after their dog had noticed something in there and started barking at it. Somehow, the skunk had tunneled into the vent system. The owner gave us a call, we came and set up a couple of live traps, and the next day we had the skunk! We released it back into the wild up by Little Dale Reservoir.

Check out the video of the release, the skunk is awesome!
